Some good news

Well, it seems that my theory about my Hebrew textbook causing problems has some merit. I did not have the class Tuesday, and I felt fine. I did not have the class today, and made it to all my classes (didn't feel fine because I started feeling ill halfway through my last class, but the only pain problem is my knee).

I'm going to make photocopies of the next couple of chapters and carry those to class tomorrow. It *should* make things better than they have been.

I'm also going to continue taking Tylenol all day instead of after I start hurting, since that was the other factor today, and it seems to have helped.

I also talked to my boss today about what he needs from me in order for me to stay on track. He suggested that I do some program planning now, and set five dates, and then I'll have some preliminary work done. I think I'm going to do that this weekend.

  1. Hey Shauna. I'm glad you've figured some helpful things out.

(That's another thing that I think friends/family don't get. They're never going to come up with the good suggestions anyway. I've gotten useful tips from other people with my condition, but things I not carrying a textbook just don't occur to people who are healthy.)

How did today go for you?

  2. Hi aforalpha.

Today went pretty well for me until I went to the Kol Nidre service and had to be sitting and standing (stationary) for long periods of time. Even so, lying down and heat seem to be helping, and Tylenol is more or less doing the job I need it to. I'm not crying from pain, and I have some awesome company while we watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Thanks for asking. :) How are you?

  3. I love when friends are willing to come hang out when I need to take it easy. I hope you had fun.

I'm doing okay. I *think* you read the but you don't look sick forum (or maybe you've just read the spoon theory). So today I am also sad about Alexa's passing. (It's hitting me especially hard since I feel a particular kinship with my fellow EDSers.)

  4. I've read some of the essays on But You Don't Look Sick, but not the forums.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. *hugs* if they're welcome.
